Listing Tips

We're glad you're thinking about listing a place to crash with CrewCommute.Com. Here are some helpful tips to consider when creating your listing.

Ask a reasonable price. Think about what you are offering and what you would be willing to pay for a similar situation. Remember, most crews will only need to crash at your place a few nights a month, so unless your asking price is a better deal than nearby hotels, you will probably be disappointed with the results. You may want to indicate a low price, and then elaborate in your description. For example, List your price at $100 a month, and then in the description say that the quoted price is for a maximum of five nights a month, (better deal than a hotel) and $20 a night after that.

Be honest. No one likes to feel they've had the “bait and switch” so be truthful about your place. Like any other web community, CrewCommute functions primarily on trust.

Pictures, Pictures, Pictures! Which would you rather click on, a listing with or without a few pics? Nothing will entice would-be renters like some good, flattering photos of your residence. Even if it's just a room with two bunk beds, it will put your renters at ease to see what they're getting themselves into. Without pictures, your listing will not be nearly as competitive.

Be descriptive! CrewCommute offers you the flexibility to give a detailed description of the living arrangements you can offer to your fellow flight crews. Take advantage of these features. Try to make sure your descriptions make sense, and are free of typos or other errors.

Ensure that your contact information is accurate and complete. Having the perfect bungalow near the airport is useless if no one can get in touch with you.

Keep your posting up to date. As things change, you can easily log back into your account and update the details for your pad. Keeping this information current, especially regarding vacancies, will help you keep your place full.

Take advantage of the waiting list. If you have a popular place, the wait list feature can help you keep it full!

Good Luck, and thanks again for thinking of CrewCommute.Com
